Makgadikgadi Migration Camp

Nogatsaa Expedition Camp

Makoba Island Camp

Leon Safaris was shaped by years of operating mobile expeditions across Botswana's remote regions, moving with wildlife, adapting to seasonal change, building temporary camps that left no permanent mark. The Canvas Collection Botswana is a refined expression of that experience.
In 2027, we unveil three ultra-intimate camps, each with only three tents, set in Botswana's most remarkable regions.

Set deep in elephant country, Nogatsaa is defined by woodland, waterholes, and quiet isolation. With only three tents and distinct lounge and dining spaces, the camp remains deliberately minimal and fully removable. The experience is guiding-led, measured, and shaped entirely by the wilderness surrounding it.

Set along the Boteti River, the camp is positioned for the seasonal zebra and wildebeest migration that concentrates along its non permanent waters. Herds move in scale, dust rising across the floodplain, predators following the shift in momentum. With just three guest tents, the camp remains understated, allowing the drama of the Boteti to take precedence.

Set within a rarely visited corner of the Okavango, Makoba Island occupies a stretch of the Delta that has, until recently, been largely forgotten. Shifting channels weave through open grasslands, and wildlife movement follows the quiet logic of water rather than established routes. From camp, exploration extends beyond vehicle-based game drives.

Three seasonal camps. True Meru-style canvas architecture. Fully removable infrastructure.

This is not expansion. Its curation through restraint.

The Safari Trilogy

Three regions. Nine nights. One continuous narrative.

The Safari Trilogy connects Nogatsaa, Makgadikgadi and Makoba Island into a single, deliberate journey across Botswana’s most contrasting landscapes. Migration along the Boteti. Elephant density in Chobe’s woodland. The quieter channels of the Delta’s edge.

Guided to a consistent standard throughout, the experience remains cohesive, not a series of stops, but one unfolding story shaped by terrain, season, and time.

Luxury here is defined by space, knowledge, and atmosphere.

Guided with precision. Grounded in place.

The Canvas Collection is built with restraint, allowing the landscape to remain primary and uninterrupted. Comfort exists without dominance, and the experience unfolds without unnecessary distraction.Guiding is delivered to a disciplined standard. Measured, informed, and deeply attuned to terrain and season. We favour patience over pace and interpretation over performance. Nothing is hurried, and nothing is manufactured. Time is allowed for understanding.
